Siemens Release new Heavy Duty PS2 Positioner

SIPART PS2 is currently the most widely used positioner for linear and part-turn actuators in a broad range of process industries. This is not without reason. The proven all-rounder offers comprehensive functionality and diagnostics, controls a variety of valves both safely and dependably, and fulfils a multitude of highly specific requirements. It is also available for harsh environments in a flameproof 316L stainless steel enclosure.

Braving the harshest environments

The new stainless steel XP/Ex d housing of our positioner is made for harsh operating environments, including the oil & gas and marine industries. The new PS2 XP/Ex d stainless steel positioner is made specifically for nearshore, offshore and explosive oil & gas applications. Thanks to its robust 316L stainless steel housing, the positioner can withstand harsh environments and has an optional temperature range of –40 to +80°C. It is designed for use in explosive atmospheres containing gas or dust and is certified with all-important worldwide approvals. Operation in near- and offshore applications is approved by different marine societies the positioner is also cULus listed.
