With our commitment to you an integral part of all of our operations, we have collated some of our most frequently asked questions for you:
Pneumatic relays are attached to circuits that conduct compressed air rather than a flow of electrons. When the presence of compressed air is flowing through one circuit, the force of that energy opens up a switch and begins to flow into a second circuit. In both of these varieties though, as well as in any other types of a relay, there needs to be a sensor present so that the switching can occur.
NC means 'normally closed’ and NO means 'normally open'.
The British Standard Pipe (BSP) is a family of standard screw thread types that have been adopted internationally for interconnecting and sealing pipe ends by mating an external with an internal thread and has been adopted as a standard scale used in plumbing fittings.
Parallel threaded fittings seal on a washer between the fitting and the face of the component's port, whereas taper threaded fittings rely on a wedged fit and use sealant between the fitting and port.
A 2/2 way valve has 2 ports. If the valve is open then the two ports are connected and fluid can flow between them if it is closed the ports are then isolated. A 3/2 way valve has 3 ports which connect one port to either of the two other ports which are normally a supply port and an exhaust port.
